Please tell me about PDC TPS65994.

A. About Config INPUT

# Used for sink device.

#data lane is used in the following case

- USB2.0
- DP Alt-mode(4Lane)
- USB2.0 + DP Alt-mode(4Lane)
# VBUS input voltage should be up to 15V.

# EEPROM is to be implemented for F/W.

In the above case, is "SafeMode" OK for the mode specified in ADCIN1/2 (Config INPUT)?

B. About GPIO4/5,
The datasheet says to connect "USB_HS" when supporting BC1.2.
Although it is necessary to receive power, it is not necessary to comply with the BC1.2 standard.
In this case, I can just connect it to GND, right?

A. Yes this dead battery configuration of 'SafeMode' should be okay for this.

B. You are correct, yes, if these are not desired or don't need to be used then please tie them to ground.

I don't really understand what "dead battery configuration" means, so I can't understand your answer.
In our application, we use the power from the USB-TypeC port for circuit operation and to charge the battery. As already mentioned, EEPROM is also installed. Should I set it to "SafeMode"?
