TPS54302: Pls. advise similar solution with PGOOG pin.

Hi team,

I suggest TPS54302 solution to customer but they need PG pin.

So could you comment?

Vin=20V but ABS max voltage should be >25V

Vout=adjustable but Vfb must be 0.6V

Iout=3A

They need the best price

They need PGOOD pin

May I know why VFB must be 0.6V? Do our customer have 0.6V output application?

Without that request, I think TPS62933P is quite suitable for this application with low cost.

Athos,

Due to they will use external RC circuit in FB pin to fine tune output voltage and sending PWM waveform to this circuit.

The PWM specification is fix, that's why they need Vfb=0.6V device.

So any suggestion?

Hi Paul,

We only have TPS56637 which is a 6A device which can support this requests.

I'm still confused why the Vfb must be limited to 0.6V due to PWM specification.

Could you please share more details? Maybe we can find more work around for TPS62933P.

Athos,

Their RC value is fixed in the circuit and they also need to support 0.6V output voltage in some model.

Hi Paul,

For output higher than 0.8V, I think we can use TPS62933P and adjust the ratio of series resistor and FB divider resistor to ensure the output voltage range. You can show me the requests and we can provide recommended resistors table for our customer.

For output lower than 0.6V, I wonder if it's possible our customer can accept the 6A device TPS56637.
