UCC27211: UCC27211

Part Number: UCC27211

i tried to simulate UCC27211 as sluaa58.pdf in Tina Transient Analysis. The Transient Analysis End display is set to 20ms. When I simulated this schematic, I found it always stop at 10ms and can not be finished. Could you please help to check what's the problem in it. Thanks.

The simulation stops at 10ms and error as below:

  • Hey,

Thank you for your question regarding the UCC27211.

It appears that when you try to turn the FETs ON with the input signal, you get this error.

I think it would be beneficial to add a parallel capacitor to R4 as a load.

It also may be a good option for troubleshooting to make a simulation with no FETs and just a capacitor and see if that works.

Let me know your results and if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore

  • Hi William,

    Thank you for your reply.

Could you tell me why R4 needs a parallel capacitor?

When I added a 1nF capacitor, it still can not finish the simulation. If changed it to 10nF, it can finish the simulation.

  • Hey,

It is good to hear that you were able to get the simulation to work.

With only a resistor as the load, the transients such as dV/dt and di/dt can be very high and cause problems with simulations. With the capacitor installed, it helps to slow down these transients so that the simulation can complete and not violate operating conditions with these high transients.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Thank you,

    William Moore
