TPS65988: PD pass through dock station

Hello there,

I'm looking to create a dock station using TPS65988 without using an external DC adapter. I want to connect a PD charger to Port B and charge the device connected to Port A via PD. Is it possible to achieve this without using an EC, relying solely on configuration?

    Hi Sam,

    Unfortunately, no, the TPS65988 does not support true PD passthrough without the addition of an external EC. The advertised Source capabilities for port A do not currently have a way to take into account the active PDO contract on Port B and modify the power levels accordingly.
