LM76005-Q1: Bias Pin tied to GND

Hi Ti Team,

When I connect the LM76005 Bias Pin to GND, will it create any reliability issues? Vout is 5V in my case.

Hi Jebin,

Connecting it to GND will not cause any reliability issues.

Since output is greater than 3.3V, you can connect BIAS to Vout to boost efficiency at light load if needed

Hi Rahil,

Thanks for the replay. I don't have a provision in the board to connect the Bias to Vout. Can I go ahead with connecting the Bias to GND? I am OK with lower efficiency in light load.

Yes that should be fine, tie it to GND
