BQ25756: Driving both the system and the battery with the BQ25756

Part Number: BQ25756

Hi All,

In the datasheet (and EVM), the system load can be fed both from the battery and the BQ25756 as it is parallel to them.

In my case, the main load are BLDC motors that can draw up to 30 Amps.

The solar charger that is connected to the BQ25756, will have 50W to 200W of power at around 24V.

So let's say the BQ25756 can provide to both the system and the battery around 3 to 6 Amps (which are the most common case).

Most of the time, during the operational time of the system (about 3 hours per day), the BQ25756 will not have enough power to drive the system and the rest of the energy will come from the battery.

My question is, can I keep the BQ25756 working during the operational time of the system, or will it drive the system "crazy" or may harm the system / battery?

I can disconnect the charger during the operational time of the system but would rather keep it if it is recommended.

Thanks,

Tomer
