PSEMTHR24EVM-081: TPS23731(PD) Connect with PSEMTHR24EVM-081(PSE) with two handshake waveform

Thanks for reaching out.

It looks abnormal to have two handshakes. There could be a classification failure.

Could you share a zoomed in waveform:

- Show clear classification event number

- Show clear classification current

And could you also share the schematic of the TPS23731 circuit?

Hi Zoom Picture is below, yellow one is one of the handshake wavefom of the abnormal behavior.

The link below are TPS2371 information and is the product made by TI.

I want to know why the classification failure,I have check the limitation of  detection,classfication and inrush duration.

All of them are in normal range,please give me more specific answer.

Hi Pojui,

I see you are using FirmPSE solution using PSEMTHR24EVM-081. Do you have USB-TO-ANY to connect to the motherboard and pull information on port status using the online GUI?
