TPS61021A: TPS61021A vs. TPS61033 for battery-powered IoT GSM / LTE applications

Part Number: TPS61021A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01387, , TPS61033

App Note TIDA-01387 describes "how to power GPRS modules in smart meters using LISOCL2 batteries. GPRS modules require peak current of up to 2 A"

This app note recommends TPS61021A

A related thread on this forum, for the same application, was advised that either TPS61021A or TPS61033 could be used, but that TPS61033 was preferable (i.e. recommended)

I am working on the same kind of application and have been studying these 2 options, and hence curious as to why the TPS61033 was recommended over the TPS61021A, when the app note suggests the opposite.  Could save some days or even weeks evaluating these two options, before we can draw our own conclusions.

Thanks in advance.
