TPS25200-Q1: Short circuit behavior against TPS22950-Q1

Hi Team,

May I know whether the OCP mechanism/behavior of both TPS25200-Q1 and TPS22950-Q1 are the same or not?

Based on datasheet, the description is the same but demo waveform are not.

TPS22950-Q1:

TPS25200-Q1:

Feels like the TPS25200-Q1 will completely turn off the internal FET first but TPS22950-Q1 will not.

Could you kindly explain further detail/mechanism to us?

    Hi Evan,

    The OCP and short-circuit behavior for both these devices is same. As you see below, even the TPS25200-Q1 will not completely turn-off the internal FET and limits the current to ILIM

    The difference is mainly on the Short-circuit response time which is 3.5us for TPS25200-Q1 vs 5us for TPS22950-Q1
