BQ24232H: pin 12 floating?

HI Team,

is it possible to remove the external resistor at pin ILIM (pin 12) and let pin 12 not connected/floating, if this mode is not used mode (the intention is to use mode USB500mA, EN2 will be always connected to VSS/ground.)? and if not: what is the best way to handle this pin correctly (if possible, without external components)?
