LM5123-Q1: Dither and charge pump operation on SYNC/DITHER/VH/CP pin14

Part Number: LM5123-Q1

The LM5123-Q1 datasheet says that to use the Programmable Spread Spectrum (Dither) feature connect a capacitor to the SYNC/DITHER/VH/CP pin which then works at about 1V.

The datasheet also says that if you want the charge pump to keep the high-side MOSFET 100% switched on during bypass mode then the SYNC/DITHER/VH/CP pin should be greater than 2.0V

Does this mean that we can not use Programmable Spread Spectrum if we need to run in bypass mode?  (Or is there a work-around that allows the SYNC/DITHER/VH/CP pin to switch between the two conditions?)

Best Regards

Chris
