LP87524J-Q1: Recommended replacement device for ISO 26262 functional safety

Part Number: LP87524J-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1843AOP, , LP87745-Q1, LP87745

Hi Team,

The customer is designing 77GHz RADAR module with AWR1843AOP and LP87524J. But they are trying to change from LP87524J to new PMIC with ISO 26262 functional safety. I already reviewed all PMICs for mmWave AWR, but I couldn't find a PMIC solution for AWR1843AOP. Could you recommend a perfect PMIC solution?

Regards,

  • Hello Jeffrey,

    Thanks for reaching out.

The alternative to LP87524J-Q1 is the LP87745-Q1 which was released a year ago and is functional safety complaint device. Documentation is available to aid ISO 26262 functional safety system design.

Please visit the link to product page for more information: LP87745-Q1

  • Hi Ishtiaque,

There are the different features and functions between LP87524 and LP87745. Are there any check points to change the PMIC design?

    Regards,

  • Hello Jeffrey,

Certainly, there are different features if we compare the devices and more so is in terms of diagnostic features for functional safety requirements such as voltage monitors, watchdog and ESM. The detailed product documentation is in secure folder and you need approval from the PME team to get them.

Check the FAQ for how to apply and get approval. Customer requested is approved based on whether they have Non-disclosure Agreement (NDA) or not.

    Ishtiaque Panhwar
