LM5122-Q1: LM5122-Q1

Part Number: LM5122-Q1

We are using LM5122-Q1 in one of our application to boost the input voltage and to drive the power of 250W. The LM5122-Q1 is designed to provide constant output voltage of 36V with typical input voltage of 28V to deliver power of 250W. The converter works fine for input voltage range from 22-29V, but the output voltage is eventually decreasing as the input voltage range is decreased to 15V or below. As mentioned in datasheet the converter should operate from 8.5V. Any suggestions will be helpful.

  • Hello,

Thanks for using our e2e forum.
By decreasing the input voltage, the current requirements will increase to support the output power.
It might be possible that the two phase design reaches its design limitations at lower input votlages.
Could you check if the inductors support the current ratings?
It would also be helpful to look at waveform measurements of the switch note, to check if it is running in duty cycle limitations.

    Thanks and best regards,
    Niklas
