UCC21530: UCC21530

Part Number: UCC21530
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00366,

I was referring to TIDA-00366 document. I assume that the DC voltage generated would be in the order of 400V if the input supply is 230V,50Hz. Whether the DC voltage is sufficient for the circuitry to generate 0 to 320V three phase  output voltage up to 250V and it can drive 3 phase motor/3-phase transformer

  • Hi Lakshmi,

Thank you for your interest in the TIDA-00366 3-phase inverter reference design.

The specifications for the input DC voltage is 400-1200V and the inverter is suited for 200-690V AC drives.

The 400V should be sufficient to generate that AC output. The output voltage is controlled by the controller's PWM is an average of the peak voltage and the amount of time the transistor is turned on or off.

If you have any specific questions related to the gate driver circuitry (UCC21530) in the design, feel free to ask!

    Regards,
