LP8764-Q1: LP876441B1RQKRQ1 and custom PCB

Part Number: LP8764-Q1

I am designing a new PCB with a number of different rails:

I need to use the LP8764 in 3 different configs:

Quad phase (1 output) :20A

3 phase, 1 phase 15A, 5A

2phase, 2 phase 10A, 10A

Regarging the orderable parts, which is the best to obtain as a starting point. I have evaluated the reprogramming of the NVM using the EVK (LP87444Q1EVM). I have been able to change this from 1,1,1,1 to 4 phase mode.

Please confirm the recommended blank part to purchase:

LP876411B4RQKRQ1

LP876411B5RQKRQ1

LP876441B1RQKRQ1

Also confirm if any of these parts are locked. I would like to be able to customise them over I2C as needed, with a known I2C address.

Thanks,

Alleyn

  • Hi Alleyn,

Thanks for reaching out. The expert of this device is out of office and he will be back on Monday. Meanwhile I will try to support.

If you are following the reference question then you will know which part number is used for what.

LP876411B4RQKRQ1 -> The highlighted number in orderable part number represents the phase configuration of the NVM.  See the nomenclature of that number.

So that means from your requirements, LP876411B4RQKRQ1 and LP876411B5RQKRQ1 are both Quad phase (1 output) :20A and you can use that one but which one of both then please refer to related PDNs in reference question.

LP876441B1RQKRQ1 is the 4 single phase configuration probably not your requirement.

For I2C address information can be found out from those referred PDNs  and reference question.
