ALL HI.

Is there a specific calculation method for the input and output capacitance of the LDO power supply? Or can you only refer to the range of capacitors given in the chip manual?The statement below is very general and not referential. Is there any way to calculate the input and output capacitance of an LDO power supply?thank you.

    Hi Sheng,

    Required and recommended input and output capacitance of an LDO is a function of chip design and is therefore unique to each device.

    There is unfortunately no way to calculate required input/output capacitance, instead it is necessary to refer to the datasheet of each respective LDO for this information.
