TPS25730: Functionality with unused I2C Pins

Part Number: TPS25730

Hello

I was looking at the TPS25730's datasheet and had a question about using the ADCINx inputs to set the device's voltage and current limits.

In my system, I am not using the device to charge a battery, and therefore assume I would be in this dead battery configuration. In that configuration, the below snippet from the datasheet says that the device always enables the sink path regardless of the amount of current the attached source is offering, and that USB PD is disabled until configuration is loaded in a dead battery configuration. What does this mean? Does being in this dead battery configuration limit my ability to take advantage of this voltage / current limit functionality? Are there any adjustments I need to make to the set up to accommodate being in this dead battery mode?

Note: in my specific implementation, I2C pins are not connected to the device for setting these values.

Thanks!
