TPS2640: NC Pin Connections

Please indicate where best to connect the N.C pins (i.e, pins 1-7, 11, 16 and 21) on the VQFN-24 package.

Hi Bob,

NC pins of TPS2640 device can be left open or can be connected to RTN for enhanced thermal performance. For VQFN-24 package, NC pins 1-7 & 16 are connected to RTN as it helps to extend the copper area. We left other NC pins OPEN as connecting them to RTN does not make noticeable difference.

I did notice the EVM layout yet most read NC as No Connection should be made, and unclear what to do. Please add your suggestions to the datasheet for others. thanks, Bob
