BQ24725A: Switch over time & method to measure charging status

1. When switching from battery to adapter, BQ24725A might show a delay of 150ms and then 1.2s (changeable) as per the datasheet. How much time does it take to switch from adapter to battery when adapter turns off ?

2. Is there an option to measure input current or charging status or charging current using registers over SMBus ?

3. Can charging status and current only be read using ADC connected to IOUT pin of the IC ?

    It should be around the same time as the selected delay time of 150ms or 1.2s.

    No, The BQ24725A does not have the capabilities to measure input current or charging status or charging current using registers over SMBus.

    This device would have to be paired with a battery guage for to measure these values. I do not support guages, I recommend creating a new thread asking for guage suggestions
