Hi there, 

What is the maximum allowed output capacitor for LMR62421?

  • Vin = 5V
  • Vout = 12V
  • IOut = 350mA

    Hi Ais,

    Usually there is a requirement on the min capacitance of the Cout, decided by the acceptable Vout ripple.

    For LMR62421, a min 4.7μF Cout can cover the most applications. So 4.7μF - 10μF Cout is recommended.

    What's the Cout that you'd like to use? Extremely large Cout may causes issues in start-up, loop stability and transient response.
