UC3825: UC3825 dead time use?

Part Number: UC3825

UC3825 dead time is the dead time of the oscillation frequency? UC3825 finally outputs two paths, and the dead zone time of these two paths is 1/2? The dead zone of the oscillator if nothing else is considered, is the dead zone time of the output pwm 1/2 related to this?

  • Simba,

UC3825 is a dual output, current mode PWM controller. The dead time setting is used to establish the dead time measured between OUTA and OUTB pulses and is set according to the selection of RT, CT as shown below (see UC3825 data sheet, page 6). Note that RT, CT is also used to set the oscillator frequency. You can therefore consider that RT, CT has two purposes: (1) sets the oscillator frequency (2) sets the dead time between OUTA and OUTB.

    regards,

    Steve
