Hi Experts,

Can you help this concern from customer about USB-to-GPIO?

I have a usb to gpio, but crashed during installation. Then the TI team sent me the aploader file. But even though I uploaded, the USB to GPIO firmware loader cannot find the device.

When the device first arrived, it had this firmware: usb_dpw_v1.0.10.

Ordered from mouser:

But no use. here is the snapshot shared:

I'm seeing solution using USB2GPIO-LOADER-SW but this is no more available to access anywhere.

Couldn't create a post for USB-to-GPIO, reference USB-to-GPIO2 instead.

Customer already using the bq78pl114. Asking the FW suitable for this chip and install on the device.

Hi Archie,

Unfortunately, we no longer support the firmware for USBTOGPIO v1. We recommend to upgrade to the new USBTOGPIO2.

There are USBTOGPIO v1 available in Mouser, is this valid for replacement since this can't be used already?

Hi Archie,

Yes the USBTOGPIO2 is a valid replacement for the v1. The mouser stock is likely left over supply. We are recommending all new projects transition to the USBTOGPIO2, which is actively supported.

Just to confirm, the customer will return the USB2GPIOv1 to Mouser and request the USB2GPIOv2:

If this is approved, I'll share this E2E link with the customer to initiate return to Mouser.

You can share this thread with the customer and Mouser. We recommend the transition to USBTOGPIO2 starting in 2022.
