TLC5940: Random high intensity flicker

Hello Experts,

I am driving a set of LED's using TLC5940.

The intensity is gradually increased over a period time. When multiple such sweeps are done, at random time in the low intensity zone, a small flash of high intensity light flashes.

Could any of you guide me on why this could happen and what could be the fix.

I have verified the output being sent till the SPI driver, and dont see any high intensity glitch till that point.

Your help is highly appreciated in this regard.

Thank you, however this is not a thermal shutdown.

The light is fitted in a Aluminum housing, and thermal issues are taken care. The light intensity is increased at the rate of 2.5% every 400ms.

and the high intensity flash in not consistent in its occurrence.
