TPS1H200A-Q1: TPS1H200A-Q1

Part Number: TPS1H200A-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi,

I am thinking about using the high-side switch to control a solenoid.

I am in a power sensitive application, so I am looking for a Peak and hold solution.

On the solenoid datasheet data is like this:

Coil Resistance 289 ohm

Pull-In @ 20 dg C 7V, 18 mA @0 bar

Drop-Out @ 20 dg C 3V, 3.5 mA @6 bar

Power Rating 0.5W

The solenoid have diodes included(flyback)

The datasheet of TPS1H200A-Q1, show that the flyback diode should be place differently from directly on the solenoid.

So what do you suggest?

Extra info I need a solution for 8 valves and open to other suggestions.

  • Hi  Erik,

A reverse current system is needed as the diode on the solenoid will not prevent a reverse battery or reverse polarity event.

Either option can work to prevent reverse current, It is up to your preference on which one you choose as well as the requirements of your system.

    Best Regards,
    Nicholas
