BQ40Z80: Programming chemistry

Part Number: BQ40Z80

Tool/software:

Hello,

We have successfully programmed the chemistry ID for the cells we are using. What I would like to know is - do we have to program this chemistry into every new board or does this become part of the gg.csv file? We brought up a "golden board" and have exported the settings, so can we just program this into each new board, or do we also separately program the chemistry? If we have to program both, does it matter which one we program first?

Thank you,

-Jamie

  • Hi Jamie,

The chemistry parameters from the chemID will only be apparent on a new device if it is programmed with the .srec file, not the .gg file. The .srec will contain all of the information from the .gg file, so we recommend programming new devices with this file.
