Using EV2300 for BQ2085

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ2085, EV2300-084, BQ20Z80I have an EV2300 and would like to interface it with a smart battery that uses the BQ2085 gas gauge. How can I do this? Is there any software such as EV2300-084 for evaluating the bq2085?
  • If you go to the bq2085 V1P3 product folder you will see a link to EVSW

    http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/slvc167

is the direct link.  Under "Options/Comm Port" you will see a USB option.  This will use the EV2300.  Be sure you have installed the drivers for the EV2300 prior to doing this.  If you have not,  do not plug in the ev2300 until lthe drivers are installed.  I recommend installing the bq20z80 or later EVSW (you can get it through the website too) which will automatically install the drivers first.  Then Plug in the ev2300 and follow instructions.  Then install the bq2085 EVSW.
