Here is the simple question about LM3480. The LM3480 has no OCP and OTP, is my understanding correct?

No, not correct. See Figures 20 and 21 (Output Short- Circuit Current) in the LM3480 datasheet.

Hi Jones-san,

Thank you for your response. I confirmed the figure 20 and 21, and understood that LM3480 has only thermal protection only, right?

From the LM3480 datasheet, Absolute Maximum Ratings, Note 3:

" .... The LM3480 actively limits its junction temperature to about 150°C."

Hi Jones-san,

Thank you for your response. I understood that the trip point of OTP should be 150degC. And also LM3480 has no OCP.

No, not right.

The LM3480 has BOTH short circuit current limiting and thermal protection.

The peak short circuit current value (@t=0) is affected by the input voltage.
