regarding TPS51120 OUTPUTS Not woking

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS51120

Hello.

I have used the tps51120 ic to get the 3.3v & 5V output i was able to get the regulated 3V & 5V output and thevoltage for driving MOSFETS. But i didn't get the outputs from VO1(Pin1) & VO2(Pin2).  the MOSFET used in the circuit was FDS6982AS.    I have attached the circuit for reference. The voltage input to the ic is (12V DC). Please  suggest us a solution to correct our circuit  and to get the outputs.

Thanks,

Parani.

  • VO1 and VO2 are not outputs, they are inputs.  They shold be connected directly to the regulator 1 and regulator 2 outputs (you have then connected correctly in your schematic).  Based on your configuration, you should get 5V output on regulator 1 and 3.3 V output on regulator 2.  Since VO1 and VO2 are above the threshold voltages (4.8 and 3.1 V respectively), the internal VGEG5 and VREG3 LDOs are shut off and the VO1 and VO2 voltages are bootstrapped to the VREG5 and VREG 3 outputs.  With EN5 open, the outputs should be available.
