I can't seem to find key voltage level information for the PMBus interface on the TPS544C20. I am referred to other specifications, but I can't find the necessary data here.
Do you have these levels?
Hello Graham,
TPS544C20 is designed to comply with the SMBus v2.0 and PMBus v1.1 electrical specifications. I've included links to these documents on the web below, and reproduced the DC characteristics table from the SMBus spec document.
Thanks for your quick answer, Matt. This is what I feared.
It wasn't until I looked closely at section 8.4.4 of the TPS544C20 datasheet and saw that the voltage levels for CNTL were not compatible with the version of the SMBus spec I was working off of. The latest SMBus spec allows for 1.8V bus operation. This is what I was working off of. This would have been really easy to miss.
The datasheet should probably reflect what version of SMBus/PMBus specs the TPS544C20 is designed to interface with. Or even better, have the voltage level specifications listed right there in the datasheet.
Again, thanks for your help! This one almost bit me, I was about to send out gerbers!
