LM53601-Q1 ADJ, 1.2V support.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM53601-Q1, LM43601

Hi~ All..

Customer want to use spread spectrum function, so we suggested LM53601-Q1 in automotive application.

But in datasheet, LM53601-Q1 only can support down to 3.3V, but there is description that LM53601-Q1 can operate outside of listed range.(Datasheet, 4page, (3) item in bottom line.)

Webench also can support only down to 3.3V, so would you please confirm that LM53601-Q1 can support down to 1.2?

Reference voltage is 1V so looks no problem but customer want to need guarantee range on datasheet.

Thanks.

  • Hi Jin-Suk,

1.2V for the LM53601 is too low as this is a 2.1MHz switcher you will not be able to maintain that frequency due to the Duty Cycle. It might be a good idea to look at the LM43601 as an alternative as you can also adjust the Fsw to suit your operating conditions.

    Thanks,

    Murray.
