I am doing a project and I am a beginner in power engineering, I have chosen my Powered Device TPS2378-105 Dev Kit and I want to know the best suitable PSE to work with.
I chose this PD because I wanted an output voltage of 48V and a Powered level of 25 W.
Could anyone guide me on the best suitable PSE or at least on what are the basis to choose the best compatible PSE.

Based on your specification, you can use TPS23861 PSE controller to cooperate with your choosed PD.
According to IEEE 802.3AT standard, there are 2 types power level are defined for PSE and PD.
Please look at Fig. 1.
If the PSE is Type 1, it only supports 13w for the PD is either Type 1 or Type 2.
If the PSE is Type 2, it can supports 13w or 25.5w for the PD. It depends on the Type of PD.
TPS23861 PSE controller and TPS2378 PD controller are compliant IEEE 802.3AT - Type 2. You can use TPS23861 in your project.
