TPS60502 Minimum input voltage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS60502

Hi all,

( TPS60502 is not recognized by the part number box in this forum but since it's a non-isolated DC/DC converter I suppose this is the correct place to post )

I want to use a TPS60502 charge pump regulator with 1.8V fixed output. My output current is very low, a few mA tops.

It's not clear to me from the datasheet what the requirement is for the minimum input voltage. It says Vin > 1.8V and Vin-Vout > 1V. If the latter is required then Vin should be greater than 2.8V

Thanks,

Paul

  • Hi Paul,

Yes, for the TPS60502 you need greater than 2.8V on the input.

Is this OK for your application? What are the power requirements?

    Thanks,
    Michael
  • Hi Paul,

I just tried the 'create new thread' for this TPS60502, and it worked okay for me.  As soon as I got to TPS605, I got a list of possible devices, clicked the TPS60502, it auto-populated the Non-isolated dc/dc Forum.  Would you be willing to try this again, see if it works correctly, and if not, please send details about the browser you are using, perhaps some screen captures?  You can send these to me directly at LEllis@ti.com.
