    Hello Kai,

    Looking at the product pages for both parts I'm only seeing IMVP7 compliance for both. Neither one states that it can support VR12 applications. You would have to look at the Intel specification documents to see if the devices would be compatible with VR12. The VID step size may not be supported (5mV vs 10mV or vice versa) as well as some accuracy specs on current monitoring. Also, there could be differences in performance between power states that may not make either part compatible with VR12.

    For VR12 applications have you looked at the TPS53640 or TPS53631 controllers?
