BQ24610: About BQ24610 Application Question

Part Number: BQ24610

Hi Team,

I plan use bq24610 design our cradle, have some question need you help.

In our design first stage is Linertech surge protect.

My question is I can just reserved one FET prevent reverse discharge from the battery to adapter?

  • Hi Kuo John,

ACDRV and BATDRV would present a break-before-make logic in switching ACPWR and battery. It would turn off/on ACDRV and turn on/off BATDRV to make sure there is no shoot-through risk. How is your system connection? since you don't use BATDRV, I want to make sure the system connection is fine without control ACFET.

    Thanks,
    Ann Lien
  • Hi Ann,

In my application, just charger only, not connect system.

    Kuo
  • Hi Kuo John,

If there is charger only and no ACFET and BATFET on charger side, you don't have to concern the shoot-through risk. You can reserve only one RBFET for blocking reverse current and let surge stopper do the ACFET function.

    Thanks,

    Ann Lien
