LM76002-Q1: Can Max juntion temp = max ambient temp?

Part Number: LM76002-Q1

Hello E2E,

Is it possible for the max junction temp to equal max ambient operating temp on the LM76002-Q1, 125C?

Russell

  • I am not sure what the context of you question is, however, the junction temperature will always be greater

than or equal to the ambient temperature.  When the device is operating it will be dissipating a certain

amount of power.  This will raise the junction temperature above ambient.

The specifications are stated for a cerain maximum junction temperature and the ambient

temperature that corresponds to this will depend on the power dissipation and thermal performance of the

    board and device.
