TL750M: Input Capacitance Value

Hi team,

My customer uses TL750M08CKVURG3 and asked me below questions.

If you have any comment or advice, please let me know.

  • Could you please provide recommended effective input capacitance value for TL750M08?
    Currently I will recommend > 0.1uF ceramic capacitor. 
    Is this all right?
  •  Is it possible to share input capacitor of TL750M08 with another LDO(NJM7805DL1A)?

    Hi Shota,

    Input capacitor affects the transient performance of the linear regulator. Datasheet electrical characteristics were measured with a 0.1 uF input capacitor. I would recommend 0.1 uF minimum and 1 uF typical. A larger value can also be used.

    If the TL750M08 and NJM7805DL1A are close together on the board, the input capacitor can be shared. Try to place the input capacitor within 1 cm of the TL750M08 Input pin.
