TPS53219A: Why VREG can be higher than VDD?

Hi,

I have some questions about VDD and VREG of TPS53219A. The VDD input voltage range is from 4.5 V to 25 V. But the LDO output voltage VREG(MIN) is 5.76 V. It is higher than 4.5V. Why? Thanks for your time.

The operating condition for that specification is VDD = 12 V. The VREG LDO drop out voltage is 364 mV. If the VDD voltage is lower than the regulated VREG output, VREG will reduce to VDD - 0.364 V.
