BQ24297: How to disable TS pin usage

Hi

I am using BQ24297 as the charging IC in our IoT product, but the battery that we are using doesn't possess thermal pin. So do I disable the thermal monitoring (TS pin) and make proper charging for the battery?

    Hello Sajin,

    The TS pin functionality cannot be disabled. If the application doesn't require thermal monitoring, you can fix the voltage at the TS pin using a resistor divider; the divider should provide the ratio of REGN to inform the charger it's in the normal temperature operating region.On the typical application schematic in the datasheet (Fig 40., section 10.2), you can find the resistor divider.
