BQ24350: OVP VOLTAGE threshold & VBAT PIN setup

Dear colleague/friends.

I have some questions by using BQ24350 device. Now my customer needs a over voltage protection device. VIN: 12V to 26V ( not battery input, DCDC power supply ), and ovp occurs when vin>30V , now they are using LTC4365 device, adjustable OVP/UVP threshold by external resistors.

I just find it seems TI do not have adjustable UVP/OVP threshold device( by external resistors ). But I find BQ24350 series device, below are my questions,

1. How could we set OVP threshold value? For example, when VIN>28V, OVP occurs. OUTPUT voltage is 0V. Or it is set internally?

2. what does below Input over-voltage protection mean?

3. What is the role of BAT pin? OVP threshold set pin?

Add LTC4365 DS here, could you please double confirm if TI have device like LTC4365? ( OVP/UVP adjustable by external resistor , or by other ways )LTC4365.pdf

1. It is not configurable. Set internally.
2. as the name connotes, this is the input voltage into the charger. so it protects against overvoltage
3 bat pin is the battery voltage measurement pin to monitor against overvoltage of the battery

Thanks for your comment. I still have some questions,

1. Setting the OVP value internally, How could I get the detail OVP value, for example, how could I know, when VIN is larger than one value, OVP will occur. Does the input over-voltage protection value in attach pic is the right one? Use BQ24350 as an example, when vin is 12V, and the input over-voltage protection value is 6.17, does it mean when vin is larger than 18.17V , OVP will occur?

Shall we leave the BAT pin in float status?

Cause now the system VIN input is not battery , is DCDC ( boost ) output. We need OVP function when DCDC output is too high. If the device is suitable for this kind of using?

Yes 6.17v will be the threshold that will be protected against.
The data sheet describes what to do if the bat pin is not used. I believe it will still work even though the bat is connected to a boost.
