BQ24092: Charge pin indication not coming on

Hi,

We are Designing a LiPo battery charge circuit using BQ24092 and the schematic we have used is shown here.

When both the Input supply and Battery is connected, we see a voltage of ~2.8v on the charge pin and charge indicator LED doesn't come ON. We can see the circuit is charging and working as expected by checking the magnitude and direction of current flowing through to/from the battery when the Input supply is present/not present.

Can someone help me understand why the charge indication LED doesn't come ON and if there is any error in the schematic.

I reviewed the schematic and it look OK.
The BQ24040 and BQ2409X are similar, a couple of things to look at that may help:
1.) FAQ on the CHG pin --e2e.ti.com/.../753020
2.) BQ24040 quick start guide--www.ti.com/.../slua901

The only thing out of the ordinary is the circuit on OUT pin, have you tested without it?

Hi Bill,
Apologies for not responding earlier. I was on Vacation. We found an issue with the layout of the MOSFET and we fixed it. The above circuit was working and there were no issues.
