We need a few technical details on Keypad support by TPS65930 for our project..
As you know it supports only a 6*6 matrix.
We need a minimum of 56 keys support for our product. So, we are planning to use few GPIO pins of TPS for adding few rows and columns.
We would like to know if any such designs were doen earlier to expand the keypad support. Also, please let us know if you see any technical difficulties with this approach.
References to such designs and your inputs for this approach will be very helpful.
I do not see a problem in using GPIOs. On the TPS65930 I do not have a reference of any design with expanded keypad support.
You may not have advantahe of some modes like - long press, repeat press, etc. in case you need those. If software is implemented for such things then I dont see a problem in that either.
