Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP8733, LP87563-Q1
Hello,
We have a new design using the ADP5052 from Analog to supply a Spartan-7 Device (XC7S6). This device requires external sequencer and some logic to reconstruct power-good signal.
I was looking at the LQ87564-Q1 device to replace the AD chip as, which seems to be a perfect option in my opinion as:
- We will avoid the use of external sesquencer
- We will avoid the use of extra logic for getting power good info.
- We will avoid the use of extral switching mosfets
Leading to a much more cost efficient solution...
We have an external arm device to control the power up/down of the FPGA, so we would be able to control the chip over I2C.
The question I have is quite simple : Would you recommand using the LP87564-Q1 to power a FPGA device? No drawback to be foreseen?
The design is for the railway industry and supposed to last for years...
Thanks for the feedback.
Kind Regards.
