TPS92692: TPS92692 reference circuit

Part Number: TPS92692

Dear Sir/Ms.

Refer datasheet 9.2.1.

What is the difference between using VBAT2 and VBAT1 input?
As described on the reference circuit, is the Full Bright when the power supply is connected to VBAT2, and the current is controlled by adjusting RADJ1?
Is it Low Bright when connected to VBAT1, and the current is controlled by adjusting RDIM1?

  • Hi Kami,

VIADJ is set at R21 and R16 voltage divider for different DC current control level with Table 4. With VBAT1 input DIM/PWM input is set with R22 and R25 voltage divider at 1.16V for PWM'ing of only 8%.

With VBAT2 input, DIM/PWM will be pull up thru R24 and D4 to be 100% PWM'ing. With higher PWM'ing (100% vs 8%) you will have higher brightness for the LED ouput.

There are two way to set total ouput LED brightness one is with VIAD which control the current level and the other is with DIM/PWM where you are PWM'ing the current to the LED.

    Thanks Tuan
