TPS65185: NTC reference or B parameter

Hello,

The TPS65185 requires an external 10k NTC for temperature measurment. I have no information about exact parameters of the NTC, especially the Beta coefficient, that seems important for me to get a good temperature measurment.

On the schematics and BOM of the eval board (TPS65185EVM), the NTC is replaced by a 10k fixed resistor, so I suppose the temperature measurment could not be used!

    Thomas,

      The TPS65185 uses a 10-kΩ Murata NCP18XH103F03RB thermistor (1%) in parallel with a linearization resistor (43 kΩ, 1%) are used at TS pin for panel temperature measurement.

    If you look up this part number the Beta information and everything you need will be in their data sheet. You can then cross this part to any manufacture you prefer.

    The fixed 10k in the EVM is so that while testing the unit is not in a temperature min or max limit. You can replace this fixed resistor with an NTC if you wish to test this aspect of the EVM.
