An external voltage such as 5 V is required for VDD. It can accept 4.5 V to 25 V, so 5 V will work well. VDRV also requires an applied voltage the maximum recommended is 6.5 V. You can use 5 V for it as well or else connect to VREG. With 5 V connected to VDD, I would recommend 5 V connected to VDRV also.
Thank you very much. I understood TPS53219A works without any issue when a customer applies VDD=VDRV=5V external supply.
