Hi Daniel,

    I'm afraid you can't change the output current with I2C, since you are using LP8556SQX-E08/NOP8 this version, the default setting for this version is 23mA for the maximum current each channel and the maximum output voltage is from 16V to 34.5V. I suggest you use the I2C to change the regs and set to 50mA for each channel and set the maximum output voltage range to 16V to 30V.

I need to change something on this.   New info.   On some of products there is a max voltage of 30.   Is there another version of this that will work for this app.   I have already spent time on this solution and would hope for a similar part.  I2C is not an option.  An idea I had is to control the voltage via the PWM.   Use a voltage divider to control the voltage.   Sense this is not PWM I am unclear to whether or not it will work.

     I'm afraid that we don't have such a version that could support 50mA for each channel and 30V maximum output volatge. The only way is to use I2C change the internal regs setting.

The only other option is move the input voltage off of the 5V and convert it to the 15 V.   I am sure you have a chip that can reach the 30V output 50mA needed with out I2C.

I have 3 strings of leds with 50mA of current each.   There forward voltage averages 15V.   I chose this part cause I thought the Iset could be used to set the current.   I see it does not do that.   We do not have I2C to interface with this part.   This is just a backlight for an LED.
