The UCC2851x family of combination type controllers parts are based on a boost CCM stage followed by a flyback stage.
They can certainly be used for 150W LED lighting applications.
The advantages of this part are that they offer very good power factor and harmonic reduction over the 90Vac to 264Vac input and 150W is a typical power rating for these applications.
There are also single stage flyback controllers such as the UCC28810. These parts offer a reasonable power factor and harmonic reduction but this topology is optimized for a narrow input voltage range. If you want to learn more about these parts you should open a new post and reference the UCC28810. This part is supported by a different group within TI.
There is also the UCC28060 family of interleaved pfc controllers. The UCC28060 can be used in an interleaved flyback design.

These single stage designs are generally smaller, less costly with fewer components but may not be suitable for applications with a wide input voltage range.
For such an application the UCC28510 family of combination controllers are more suitable
