LMR33630: Can GND plane located under Inductor be removed?

Part Number: LMR33630

 Hello guys,

One of my customers is routing their own board of their new electoronic products which uses LM33630 now.

They want to remove GND plain located under Inductor like layout example on page 34 of the device datasheet to avoid inductor value and efficiency drop.

Does the GND patern removing cause any problem?

I think the device temperature may become higher

But the customer maximum load current is less than 2A.

Your reply would be much appreciated.

 Best regards,

 Kazuya.
