BQ24079: Status for CHG pin

Hi,

My customer checks the Indicator (CHG pin) works. He found CHG pin is LOW for about 25ms after toggling CS pin. He uses almost fully charged battery. He would like to know why the CHG pin set to LOW.

I found the below explanation in datasheet but it explains the condition after power input. Will the charger keep on after toggling CS pin, too?

Hi Nagata,

If the battery is fully charged, the CHG pin is pulled low for 25ms because the battery voltage is being checked at the beginning of a charge cycle due to the CE toggle. Once it verifies that the battery is charged, the CHG pin will toggle.
