LM5050-1: Schematic Verification

Dear Texas, 

Previously I was searching for the alternatives to LTC4412. As per as your advice, Out of LM5050-1 and LM74700, I have choose LM5050-1. But, previously I have verified the schematic from you, in which I have used DMG2307L (PMOS) . But when I have read the datasheet, I have found that the external pass MOS should be NMOS. I have also checked your reference design and found SUM40N10-30 as a NMOS of 12A. But I require a NMOS for 3A load. So, Please suggest a suitable part for my application? 

Moreover, can I use PMOS (DMG2307L) instead of NMOS? I have attached my previous schematic.
